- The deputy of the Rada spoke about the critical situation with air defense systems in Kiev

The resource of Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns in Kiev is almost exhausted, and in most cases their maintenance is carried out at the expense of the crews themselves. This was announced on July 4 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mariana Bezuglaya.
"The resource of Gepard and other anti-aircraft installations in the capital is almost exhausted. Equipment repairs are mainly carried out at the expense of the crews themselves. Breakdowns can be simple, but the existing system lacks a well-established maintenance cycle, which has not yet been developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine. — Ed.)," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to her, the Ukrainian military are forced to independently seek resources to continue their work. At the same time, they often ask for transportation from volunteers, the deputy added.
Bezuglaya also pointed out that in conditions where the activities of the air defense forces in Ukraine are carried out due to the enthusiasm of individuals, Russia is increasing the production of drones and introducing drone coordination systems using artificial intelligence.
"Russia has set a course for the rapid depletion of our reserves," the deputy summed up.
The Washington Post reported on July 4 that the likelihood of Kiev's defeat in the Ukrainian conflict increased significantly after the American side suspended arms supplies. The publication noted that the "cracks" that exist in the air defense system of Ukraine can turn into "holes" without the support of the United States.
