At least 13 people died as a result of flooding in Kerr County, which is located in the central part of the US state of Texas. CNN reported this on July 4, citing local authorities.

"As a result of the severe flooding that hit the state on Friday, at least 13 people were killed," the publication says.

County Sheriff Larry L. Leith clarified that several people are missing. According to him, law enforcement officers are working to find them.

The publication noted that the flood was sudden and caused multiple damages, the number of which may increase. In addition, the water level in the Guadalupe River was 30 feet (9.1 m), which breaks historical records. It has reached the second highest value in the entire history of observations and is currently continuing to increase. A state of emergency has been declared in the region.

Geo TV reported on June 29 that at least 45 people, including children, were killed in Pakistan as a result of heavy monsoon rains and related accidents. It was clarified that hurricane-force winds and thunderstorms could damage weak structures, power lines and vehicles, as well as the threat of landslides.
