The traffic police officer injured in the attack in Nalchik is in stable serious condition. This was reported on July 4 in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kabardino–Balkarian Republic (CBD).

"On behalf of the Head of the Republic, Kazbek Kokov, the Minister of Health of the CBD, Rustam Kalibatov, arrived at the hospital. He organized the work of a multidisciplinary team of doctors from leading medical organizations in the region to perform an emergency operation for a seriously injured patient," the department said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the victim was taken to the Republican Clinical Hospital, where doctors managed to stabilize his condition, which is currently assessed as stable and severe. The patient will be transferred to the intensive care unit for further treatment. Doctors are monitoring his condition.

The attack on a traffic police officer in Nalchik took place on July 4. The man ran up to the policeman and stabbed him with a series of knife blows, as a result of which the victim fell into a road pit where repair work was carried out. The attacker was eliminated. A criminal case has been opened under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers"). On the same day, Kokov announced that he had held an operational meeting on the attack.
