The government has included bananas in the list of agricultural products in Russia

The Russian government has included bananas in the list of agricultural products produced and processed in Russia. The relevant document was posted on the portal for the publication of legal acts on July 4.

The decree of July 2 prescribes to supplement the list of "agricultural products, production, primary and subsequent <..>, which is processed by agricultural producers, as well as scientific organizations, professional educational organizations, and higher education organizations." The new item is bananas.

The document was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture Oksana Lut, in turn, noted that there is nothing surprising in growing this fruit in the Russian Federation, first of all, the economic benefits from such activities are important.
