Tens of millions of people watched the graduation celebration "Scarlet Sails – 2025" in St. Petersburg. In an interview with Izvestia on July 4, Maxim Akhtyamov, the director of the concert part, admitted that the format of the event encourages the organizers to take the holiday to a new level every year.

"Every year we set ourselves a new bar, and it's very inspiring. It inspires you to look for new solutions, to be creative in a way that you weren't creative last year. And these are new challenges. We love challenges, and I think we handle them well," he said.

According to Akhtyamov, all the ideas of the team were fully implemented. At the same time, the organizers continue to receive feedback from enthusiastic viewers who celebrate the performances of the artists, the scenic finds and the complex mechanics of the show, the director of photography added.

Earlier, the creators of the holiday reported that the success of "Scarlet Sails – 2025" became a motive for political pressure on the organizers. They were included in the database of officials, public figures and law enforcement officers allegedly involved in military propaganda and the creation of ideologically biased shows created by the platform of the Russian opposition.

"It doesn't matter what they say, the main thing is how we do our job. And if this work inspires and makes graduates better, makes our show industry better and makes our country better, then it means we are doing the right thing," Akhtyamov stressed.

The Scarlet Sails Alumni Celebration took place in St. Petersburg on the night of June 29 and became one of the most discussed events of the week.

In 2005, Scarlet Sails began to be held again after a long-term hiatus at the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint-Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
