A plane carrying Russian soldiers returned from Ukrainian captivity landed in the Moscow region. Footage from the scene on July 4 is published by Izvestia.

In the footage, you can see how the soldiers of the Russian army descend from the plane with flags. After that, they called their families and friends.

"I can't put it into words, I can't believe we're back. Only yesterday we were in captivity, and today we are already here at home," said one of the released fighters.

At the first stage, 390 military personnel and civilians each return to Russia and Ukraine.

On the same day, it was reported that Russia had returned another group of soldiers from Kiev-controlled territories. Instead, a group of prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was transferred.
