There has been a malfunction in the work of Telegram and WhatsApp in Russia

Russian users reported disruptions in the work of Telegram and WhatsApp messengers (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). This is evidenced on July 4 by data from the Downdetector service.

It is noted that more than 5 thousand users complained about the work of Telegram, 848 people complained about the work of WhatsApp.

According to the service, the most complaints about technical failures in Telegram were received from Moscow (20%), St. Petersburg (15%), Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions (9% each), as well as from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (3%).

WhatsApp problems were reported from Moscow (19%), St. Petersburg (8%), Nizhny Novgorod (8%), Moscow (7%) and Kaluga (4%) regions.
