- The Verkhovna Rada recognized the decline in military aid from the United States and the inaction of Europe
European countries do not intend to compensate Ukraine for the active decline in US arms support. This was announced on July 4 by Verkhovna Rada deputy Roman Kostenko.
"Since January, we have already seen that they (the United States) have gradually reduced their support for us. <... > (Supply of weapons. — Ed.) constantly-constantly decreasing. <... > And this does not mean that Europe has turned on a lot," he said on the YouTube channel "The Great Lviv Speaks."
At the same time, Kostenko clarified that Washington currently does not occupy a leading position in financing Kiev. There is also no initiative for large shipments of weapons for the country, while the European side is not trying to influence the situation.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, had single-handedly decided to stop supplying military aid to Ukraine.
At the same time, Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the US House of Representatives, said that Ukraine would not receive regular arms supplies and financing from the United States against the background of the oppression of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the country, as well as because of the sale of weapons sent by Washington to the black market.
