The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches at the home of former Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov in the case of the purchase of products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at inflated prices. This was reported on Friday, July 4, by the newspaper Zerkalo Nedelya, citing law enforcement sources.

"Reznikov was not warned about the search in advance. Detectives seized an "unaccounted—for" phone and a number of significant documents from him," follows from a publication in the Telegram channel of the publication.

Earlier, on April 3, the online publication "Country.ua" reported that NABU published audio wiretaps of businessmen who carried out fraud with the supply of products. At that time, it was clarified that entrepreneurs diluted beef with pork and fat in their food. On April 2, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine reported embezzlement of hundreds of millions of hryvnias from the Ministry of Defense through purchases for the army in 2022-2023.

Earlier, on June 27, NABU officers conducted searches at the former deputy head of the office of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, Kirill Tymoshenko. It was clarified that the events were held as part of the investigation into the leak of information from the bureau. The fact of the searches was confirmed by the specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office of the country.
