A man who sent a parcel with explosives to a neighbor was arrested in Chelyabinsk.


A resident of Chelyabinsk, who planted a parcel with explosives for a neighbor, after which he lost his hands, was taken into custody on charges of attempted murder. This was reported on July 4 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region.
The investigation found that on July 2, a 55-year-old man, after a protracted conflict with a neighbor, planned to kill him. To do this, he made an object with an unidentified substance inside and put it in one of the entrance mailboxes, knowing that "the victim checks the accused's mail on a regular basis."
The victim, not knowing that there was a dangerous object in the mailbox, took it and went to one of the houses in the city of Kopeisk. That's where the explosion happened.
"The criminal intent of the accused was not completed due to circumstances beyond his control, due to the provision of timely qualified medical care to the victim," the department's Telegram channel says.
The investigation has appointed a complex of forensic examinations, the collection of evidence continues.
In Kopeisk, Chelyabinsk region, on July 2, an unidentified object in a box exploded in the hands of a local resident. As a result of the clap, the man was injured, and his hands were amputated. A sawn-off hunting rifle, ammunition components and gunpowder were found at his home. Criminal cases have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 ("Attempted murder committed in a generally dangerous manner"), part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal possession of weapons and ammunition"), the SU IC of Russia for the Chelyabinsk region clarified.
