In St. Petersburg, five people were injured during the storm. This was announced on Friday, July 4, by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of St. Petersburg.

It is specified that rescuers made 211 trips in total. Of these, 186 were aimed at eliminating the consequences of falling trees, 25 — at eliminating the threat of collapse of structures that are poorly secured.

Eight cars were also damaged.

"The Ministry of Emergency Situations of St. Petersburg urges citizens to take basic precautions in difficult weather conditions and not to go outside unless absolutely necessary," the Telegram channel says.

Earlier in the day, four people were rescued from the island after their boat sank during a storm on the Vuoksa River in the Leningrad Region. It was clarified that the incident occurred near the Rosy Dawn boat station in Priozersk. There were two adults and two children on board.
