Water level rise is expected in most of the rivers of Transbaikalia

Most rivers in the Trans-Baikal Territory will experience a rise in water levels within two days. This was announced on Friday, July 4, according to the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The most intense rise in water levels is predicted in the middle and lower reaches of the Shilka, on the Chitinka River in Chita and on the Ingoda near the village of Atamanovka.
In the coming days, the peak of the flood is expected on the Chita River near the village of Shishkino. The rise of water near the regional capital will continue, access to the floodplain is planned, in some places there may be flooding of suburban areas.
Also, in the coming days, water is expected to reach the floodplain near the village of Kokui on the Shilka River near the city of Sretensk, writes ChitaMedia news agency.
Heavy rains have been constantly falling in Transbaikalia since the evening of June 30. Precipitation extinguished wildfires, but brought new problems. Cases of flooding of household plots, erosion of roads and bridges have been recorded.
