Irkutsk resident who attacked doctors was arrested for two months


A resident of Irkutsk, who attacked doctors at a city hospital with a knife, was arrested for two months. This was reported on July 4 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.
"At the request of the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months," the department's Telegram channel clarifies.
The 59-year-old man was charged under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons").
A man attacked medical workers at an Irkutsk hospital with a knife and a gas canister a day earlier. The deputy chief physician and the secretary of the institution were hospitalized in serious condition.
A criminal case has been opened in the Investigative Committee. At the moment, all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified. Later it became known that the assaulted man was being treated at the regional neuropsychiatric dispensary.
