Quarantine due to a rabid fox was introduced near Sevastopol

The State Veterinary Service has introduced a rabies quarantine in the Orlinovsky municipal district in the Sevastopol region. This was announced on Friday, July 4, according to the press service of the city government.
A dangerous disease was detected in a wild fox. The builders who worked between Goncharny and Orlin turned to the vet service. One of them was bitten by an animal, writes IA SevastopolMedia.
Laboratory tests have confirmed rabies in the fox. The victim was advised to seek medical help immediately.
Earlier in July, it was reported that an Australian resident died of a rare bat-borne virus a few months after being bitten. The first symptoms of infection are similar to the flu.
