The Central Bank told about the increase in payments under the European protocol

Since July 5, the maximum amount of insurance compensation under the European protocol for accidents with disagreements has doubled to 200 thousand rubles. This is stated in the explanations updated on July 4 on the official website of the regulator.

If the participants in the accident have disagreements, but the photo has been recorded, the payment limit will increase to 200 thousand rubles from July 5. If there is no photofixation of the damage, then the payment is limited to 100 thousand rubles. If the participants do not disagree on the circumstances of the accident and the damage is recorded in the photo, the maximum compensation limit for CTP is 400 thousand rubles.

"It is worth considering that if there are disagreements among drivers about the circumstances of an accident or the nature of damage to vehicles, photo recording is required to register an accident without traffic police officers, without it insurance payment is not guaranteed. Make sure that the photos have been uploaded successfully through the app — wait for the confirmation notification," the Central Bank informs.

The nature and list of visible damage to vehicles are recorded in the accident notice, the form of which is filled out by the drivers involved in the accident. At the same time, signatures of both drivers are affixed to all the sheets on the front side of the notice. The reverse side of the notification is issued by each driver independently.

An electronic notification of an accident is compiled through a special mobile application "OSAGO Assistant", "Gosuslugi Avto" or the insurer's application with the possibility of issuing an electronic European protocol.
