Podolsk near Moscow and Borisov Byelorussian became twin cities

Podolsk, near Moscow, and Borisov, Byelorussia, signed a twinning agreement. The ceremony took place on July 3, the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

The agreement was signed during the visit of a delegation from Podolsk to Borisov. According to the head of the delegation, First deputy head of the district Vladimir Kravtsov, it is not the first time that the administration of Podolsk has interacted with the city of Borisov. Now this interaction will become more productive.

Earlier, the Belarusian plant Beltelekabel LLC started operating in the Moscow region. The governor of the region, Andrey Vorobyov, took part in its opening, the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya notes.

The twin cities are engaged in the development of joint projects, exchange experiences and organize joint events.

On June 17, it was reported that the Shvabe holding of Rostec State Corporation signed a contract with the State Border Committee of Belarus for the supply of a batch of sights for small arms. It was clarified that Shvabe actively cooperates with Belarusian departments and industrial enterprises: optoelectronic products, sighting equipment, medical devices and other equipment are exported from Russia. In turn, the holding's enterprises are modernizing production using Belarusian equipment.
