Khabarovsk became the main travel discovery of this season - the demand for flights there increased by 102.6%. OneTwoTrip, a travel planning service, analyzed flight bookings for the period from June to August and found out which Russian cities have become much more popular this summer. The results of the study were reviewed by Izvestia on July 6.

"A three-star hotel room will cost an average of 4,000 rubles per day this summer. In the warm season in Khabarovsk, you can have a great rest in nature: go on an excursion to the Bolshekhekhtsirsky Nature Reserve, go on a cruise on a motor ship along the Amur River and visit the numerous parks of the city," the analysts said.

Russian travelers began to fly to Cheboksary more often: the share of the city increased by 84.9% over the year. A hotel there can be booked for an average of 3 thousand rubles per day. The capital of the Chuvash Republic is located on the Volga, and water recreation is popular here in summer: from trendy sapboarding and kitesurfing to more traditional boating and catamaran trips.

Ulyanovsk was also among the top 3 Russian cities where more people fly this summer, with 58.2% more air tickets purchased. A room in a three-star hotel costs about 3 thousand rubles per day. The ancient city also stands on the Volga River, and in addition to water activities in summer, nature trips and walks in parks are popular there.

In addition, the top ten most sought—after destinations this summer included Kaliningrad (the share increased by one and a half times; the cost of a room is 6 thousand rubles per day), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (+38.6%; 5 thousand rubles per day), Chelyabinsk (+34.6%; 3 thousand rubles), Blagoveshchensk (+28.1% 4 thousand rubles), Perm (+27.2%; 4 thousand rubles), Astrakhan (+26.5%; 3,500 rubles) and Samara (+15.9%; 4 thousand rubles).

On June 17, the Ministry of Education and Science informed Izvestia that since the beginning of 2025, 57 thousand participants have registered in the Studtourism program, and about 15 thousand students have already traveled. According to it, university students, young professionals, workers and scientists from 18 to 35 years old can visit 117 cities of Russia, as well as China, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
