Russia and Saudi Arabia will continue to develop close cooperation in the OPEC+ format. This was announced on July 4 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, answering a question from Izvestia.

"OPEC+ functions largely with the joint proactive participation of Saudi Arabia and Russia, and our two countries are the co—chairs of the International Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of OPEC+ Decisions," he said at a press conference following talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
