- The court will consider the case of a fall from a height of a port employee in Murmansk

A preliminary investigation into the case of a port employee falling from a height has been completed in Murmansk. The incident is blamed on the head of the repair and construction site. The investigation believes that he violated labor protection requirements.
Bi-port news agency writes that the incident occurred on February 7 this year on the territory of the port. A carpenter fell from a height during the installation of a metal structure. A week after the emergency, his condition was assessed as satisfactory. The port administration promised to provide the victim with all required insurance payments.
The SU TFR in the region found that the head of the repair and construction site did not check whether the carpenter had a safety harness. This was the cause of the incident.
The materials of the criminal case were sent to the court for consideration.
Earlier, on July 3, it was reported that in the Terbunsky district of the Lipetsk region, an investigation was underway into the death of a worker in a fall from a height at a construction site. According to the investigation, the worker was carrying out the installation of floor ceilings and fell from a height of 7.5 m. He died on the spot before the ambulance arrived.
