A Russian melody will be played at the celebration of the Independence Day of the USA

During the Independence Day celebrations in the USA, a work by the Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky will be played. This was announced on July 4 by the Axios portal.
"Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture <...> has become one of the main elements of the Independence Day celebrations in the United States," the publication says.
It is noted that orchestras perform this composition throughout the United States on Independence Day, despite the fact that it was originally dedicated to the victory of Russia over French troops in 1812.
Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov congratulated U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the country's Independence Day. The minister expressed hope that relations between Moscow and Washington will gain stability and independence.
On July 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a telephone conversation, wished his American counterpart Donald Trump success and congratulated him on US Independence Day. The Russian leader stressed that Russia played an important role in the independence of the United States.
