The farewell ceremony for the former mayor of Luhansk, Manolis Pilavov, who died in the explosion, will take place on July 5, the press service of the government of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) reported on July 4.

"The memorial service and farewell to Manolis Pilavov <...> will take place tomorrow, July 5, in the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Tenderness," the administration's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the ceremony will take place from 10:00 to 12:00.

Pilavov died as a result of an explosion of an unknown nature on Taras Shevchenko Street in Luhansk on July 3. Three other people were also injured in the incident, one of them is in serious condition. The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case into the explosion. The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, expressed confidence that those responsible for the incident will be found and will be punished as they deserve.
