Pulkovo airport confirmed the operation of the airport as normal

Pulkovo Airport continues to operate normally, despite the difficult weather conditions in St. Petersburg. This was reported to Izvestia on July 4 by the press service of Aviagavan.
"Currently, there are no delays due to weather conditions. It should be noted that the crews make the decision on take—off and landing independently, based on the established meteorological minimums," the source said.
The press service added that on July 3, during the passage of a thunderstorm front over the territory of Pulkovo, two flights left for alternate airports, which followed from Samara and Minsk. They were redirected to Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports in the capital, and after the weather conditions returned to normal, they arrived safely in St. Petersburg.
The day before, Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, reported that the cyclone forming over the Gulf of Finland would not last long. The peak of the predicted flooding in St. Petersburg and the surrounding area will be on July 5. According to the forecaster, the flood will not last long — the most intense rise in water is expected on the night of July 5.
