In California, a large-scale forest fire, which was named, covered 21 thousand hectares of land, which is why it was decided to evacuate local residents. This was announced on July 4 by ABC TV channel.

"The fire, which has become the largest this year in California, is raging mainly in rural areas in the Los Padres National Forest near Highway 166," the TV channel's publication says, citing government officials.

It is specified that during the day rescuers localized only 5% of the fire. In this regard, the authorities blocked the 166th highway and evacuated local residents.

According to the TV channel, about 50 buildings are under threat, as the fire is spreading rapidly through the area. ABC emphasizes that the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that almost 700 people were involved in extinguishing a forest fire in Istanbul's Silivri province. In addition, a fire also broke out in the Haji Bektash-y Veli urban forest in Istanbul. Four pieces of equipment and 82 personnel were sent to the scene, which extinguished the fire within three hours.
