In the Leningrad Region, four people were rescued from an island after their boat sank during a storm on the Vuoksa River. This was announced on July 4 by a source of Izvestia.

The incident occurred near the Rosy Dawn boat station in Priozersk.

"The ship was flooded at night during a storm. Two adults and two children on board landed on an island located three kilometers from the boat station and asked for help," the source said.

The people stuck on the island were evacuated by rescuers, as a result of the incident, no one was injured.

On May 25, a small vessel with six people on board capsized due to weather conditions in the south of Crimea. Then the participants of the boat trip were evacuated, they did not need hospitalization. Investigators have opened a criminal case in connection with the incident.
