The drug dealer was extradited from Thailand to Russia


A Russian man who was wanted through Interpol channels on charges of drug trafficking was deported from Thailand to the Russian Federation. This was announced on July 4 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
It is specified that in 2022, a man bought a batch of mephedrone for resale, packaged it and put it into hiding places in the Arkhangelsk region. However, the attacker failed to complete his plan.
"An investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Kotlassky, has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Articles 30 and 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," Volk said, her words are quoted in the Telegram channel MIA Media.
According to the press service of the department, the person involved escaped from law enforcement agencies abroad, therefore he was put on the international wanted list. Through Interpol, it turned out that the man was in the territory of the Kingdom of Thailand. He was detained on June 5 and placed in a migration detention center. Then the attacker was handed over to representatives of the Russian Interior Ministry.
On July 3, Colombia extradited international drug trafficker Vladimir Polyansky at the request of Russia. It was clarified that Polyansky had been one of the leaders of the community since 2008, which was engaged in large shipments from abroad and the sale of drugs in the Russian Federation. In 2021, his illegal activities were suppressed, then more than 131 kg of narcotic drugs were seized, and Polyansky was sentenced to custody in absentia because he had escaped from law enforcement agencies.
