- Egyptian ex-Minister of Antiquities refuted the myth of the construction of pyramids by slaves

The Egyptian pyramids were built by skilled workers, not slaves. This was announced by former Egyptian Minister of Antiquities Zahi Hawass.
This is indicated by the graves of workers discovered south of the pyramids with statues dragging stones on which 21 hieroglyphs were carved.
"If they were slaves, they would never have been buried in the shadow of the pyramids," Hawass said in a podcast posted on Matt Beall's Limitless YouTube channel.
As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", the workers worked in teams that had their own specializations. Some were cutting stones, others were shaping them, and the rest were transporting the material using wooden sleds that were dragged across the sand.
According to the Egyptologist, the workers worked continuously, but they had one day off every 10 days.
To the south of the Egyptian capital Cairo on April 18, archaeologists found the tomb of Pharaoh Userkaf's son, Prince Userefra, as well as a statue of Pharaoh Djoser moved to it. It is specified that the discovered archaeological site contains many hieroglyphic inscriptions.
On February 26, Egyptian archaeologists completed work on the territory of the "golden city", which is located near Luxor. During the excavations, experts discovered an ancient complex for processing gold ores. The age of the find is about 3 thousand years. Scientists have also discovered an area where gold miners once lived.
