Renal cell carcinoma is the most common malignant neoplasm of the kidney, and in order to prevent its development, it is necessary to be aware of the first symptoms of the disease. This was reported on July 4 by Gazeta.Ru" oncourologist "SM-Clinic" Debo Beden.

According to him, this cancer often occurs in men over the age of 50, and lifestyle influences the likelihood of the disease. The abuse of fast food, energy drinks or alcohol, as well as smoking, increases the risk of disease by 3-4 times.

In addition, the expert noted that kidney cancer can go on for a long time without symptoms, but if the disease begins to progress, the body will definitely send signals.

"Blood in the urine is the first alarm bell. Even a small amount of a bloody impurity can be an early symptom of an oncological process in the kidney. Sometimes the urine gets a pronounced pink or reddish tint, which indicates internal bleeding accompanying a cancerous tumor," the doctor said.

In addition, the disease can manifest itself through pain in the lower back or side, which become intense with the development of the tumor process. Also, constant swelling of the legs or systemic intoxication of the body, which is expressed in unreasonable weight loss, weakness and subfebrile fever, may indicate the presence of kidney cancer.

In addition, the list of additional symptoms includes hypertension (increased blood pressure), anemia (decreased hemoglobin levels), varicocele (varicose veins of the testicles in men, which occurs due to the pressure of the tumor on the veins) and a lump in the abdominal cavity, which can be felt.

The expert noted that it is not necessary to postpone a visit to the doctor in case of any of the symptoms, since kidney cancer is a serious and dangerous disease. If it is detected during an early diagnosis, then the treatment will go well.

Vladislav Sepp, a doctor and associate professor of the Department of Pharmacy at the Institute of Pharmacy and Medicinal Chemistry at Pirogov University, said on July 3 that cola and some other carbonated drinks (mostly dark in color) contain oxalates and phosphoric acid, which can increase the risk of kidney stones.
