Heavy precipitation, wind, thunderstorms and hail are expected in 20 regions of Russia in the coming days. This was announced on July 4 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.
"In the coming days, showers, thunderstorms, and winds of up to 20 m/s are forecast in Karelia, Arkhangelsk, and Leningrad regions, and even up to 24 m/s in the coastal regions of the Leningrad Region. It's also raining heavily in the Murmansk Region, meaning there will be rainy weather in the Northwestern Federal District," he told TASS.
Vilfand said that heavy rain will fall in some places in the Krasnodar Territory with wind strengthening up to 25 m/s. In the North Caucasus, rains may lead to an increase in water levels. Heavy rains with temperatures above +30 degrees are also forecast in the Kemerovo, Tomsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk regions and the Altai Territory. In Khakassia and Tuva, the temperature will reach +37 degrees. In addition, according to the forecaster, in the Trans-Baikal Territory and Buryatia, a large amount of precipitation led to a rapid increase in river levels.
A dangerous phenomenon is expected in the south of the Tyumen region: heavy rain, large hail and squally wind increases up to 25 m/s. Heavy rains with thunderstorms and wind strengthening up to 20 m/s are forecast for the Amur Region, Khabarovsk Territory, and the Jewish Autonomous Region on July 5 and 6. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in Primorye at night and in the morning on July 6, during which about 20-45 mm of precipitation may fall in a few hours, which may lead to flooding.
On the same day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that partly cloudy weather, short-term rain, and thunderstorms were expected in Moscow on July 4. At the same time, the air temperature during the day will range from +25 to +27 degrees, at night — up to +11. Atmospheric pressure will be 744-745 mmHg.
