End-to-end exit numbering has been introduced at more than 100 Moscow metro stations. This was announced on Thursday, July 3, by the Moscow Department of Transport.

The signs have been updated on all subway lines, and work continues at transfer hubs. The exits are now numbered in the same style, both for the main station and for neighboring stations. The nearest exits are marked in large numbers, the numbers with transfers are in smaller font, but they are repeated along the entire route, Moscow 24 clarifies.

Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, recalled that the numbering system began to be implemented in 2013, and stressed that it was now easier for passengers to navigate without the help of third-party services. More than 1.3 thousand signs have already been updated, the Moscow City News Agency notes.

On June 22, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin launched the technical launch of a section of the Troitskaya metro line of the capital from the station "Innovatorskaya" to "ZIL".
