Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with American leader Donald Trump, said that Moscow was not going to deviate from the goals of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on July 3 by the assistant to the Russian leader, Yuri Ushakov.

"Our president said that Russia will achieve its goals, that is, eliminate the well-known root causes that led to the current state of affairs, to the current acute confrontation. And Russia will not give up on these goals," he said.

In addition, Ushakov noted that the leaders of the states during the conversation did not touch on the topic of suspending US arms supplies to Ukraine.

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), noted earlier that day that the dialogue between the presidents of Russia and the United States continues, and it is important for the whole world.
