Spanish motorcycle racer Gomez died during a training run

Spanish motorcycle racer Borja Gomez died at the age of 20 as a result of an accident that occurred during a test run before the European Championships. This was announced on July 3 by the press service of his team, Team Laglisse.

"It is with great pain in our heart and regret that we inform you that Borja Gomez died <...> after a serious accident during the first training session of the free races of the European Championship," the press service of the sports team said in a statement on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

The accident happened on the Magny-Cours highway in France. It is specified that Bohra was the leader of the overall competition.
