The broadcast of "Scarlet Sails — 2025" set several records at once

The water and pyrotechnic show in the Neva River and the concert of Russian pop stars on Palace Square as part of the alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails - 2025" were seen by more than 45 million people who followed the broadcast on television, online and on street screens in major cities. As the press service of Channel Five reported on July 3, 12.5 million of them watched the event via an online broadcast on the Internet.

It is noted that the television audience of the event was 32.4 million people, and another 300 thousand people watched the holiday live on street screens.

This year, the broadcast of the entire Scarlet Sails holiday on Channel Five set four records at once — the shares in the channel's key audience of "All 25-59" and the base "All 18+" and "All 4+" reached their highest values in recent years — 8.6%, 8.3% and 8.3%, respectively. The share of the female audience in the "25-59" age segment was 10.1%, and this is the first place in the federal broadcast.

The colorful water and pyrotechnic show was also broadcast on other federal channels. The passage of the brig in the waters of the Neva River, accompanied by tens of thousands of fireworks, theatrical mise en scene, and victorious Katyusha volleys from the Troitsky Bridge were watched by almost every third viewer over the age of 18. The combined share of the Scarlet Sails extravaganza on the air of four channels is 31.8%.

The broadcast of the show on Channel Five took the first place among all national broadcasters in four audiences at once. For example, the share in the audience of "All 25-59" was a record 13.2%, which is almost 2% more than last year. Another record is in the "All 4+" audience, where the share reached 13%.

Channel Five also recorded record figures for the broadcast of the holiday in Moscow, where "Scarlet Sails" became the absolute leader of the evening prime. So, 14.6% of young viewers aged 11 to 34 watched the graduation live on the Fifth. And the share of the water and pyrotechnic show in the same audience was 23.9%, which provided the channel with the first place in the capital's broadcast.

The online broadcast of the holiday on Channel Five's website and on its official social media accounts gathered 11.6 million people in front of the screens. About 8 million people watched the legendary graduation ceremony on VK Video alone. The number of viewers in Odnoklassniki was 3.33 million. Another 316 thousand watched the show on the official website of Channel Five.

In addition, the alumni celebration could be viewed online on the IZ multimedia portal.RU, on the website of the CTC TV channel, on the TASS website, in the online cinemas Wink, Kinopoisk, IVI, on the RUTUBE video hosting and the Internet platform "Watch". The number of views was 886.6 thousand.

The Scarlet Sails Alumni Celebration took place in St. Petersburg on the night of June 29 and became one of the most discussed events of the week. The audience shared their impressions of the event on June 30.

In 2005, the "Scarlet Sails" began to be held again after a long-term hiatus. The initiative to revive it was taken by Joint Stock Bank ROSSIYA, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
