Dmitriev announced a new chapter after the conversation between Putin and Trump

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), announced a new chapter on July 3, commenting on a telephone conversation between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump.

The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund drew attention to the fact that the Russian president congratulated the American leader on the national holiday of the United States — Independence Day.

"Positive cooperation between Russia and the United States is important for global peace and prosperity. A new chapter begins," Dmitriev wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Russia has confirmed its readiness for negotiations with Kiev and for mediation between Israel and Iran.

Putin and Trump held telephone talks on the evening of July 3. During the conversation, the leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East, including Iran and Syria, as well as the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian President informed his American counterpart about the implementation of humanitarian agreements between Moscow and Kiev and stressed Russia's desire to resolve the crisis through negotiations.
