A case has been opened in Moscow over the murder of a man in the south-west of the capital.

In Moscow, a murder occurred in an apartment building on Ostrovityanova Street — a man stabbed his friend after drinking alcohol. This was announced on July 3 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the capital.

The victim of the blows died on the spot. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").

"Investigators and criminologists of the metropolitan Investigative Committee are working at the scene of the incident. A complex of investigative actions is being carried out aimed at establishing the full picture of what happened," the department's Telegram channel says.
