In Pskov, 42 people were taken to the regional Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital after the mass poisoning of people living in the Social Town social institution and the Pskov War Veterans Hospital. This was announced on July 3 by the Prosecutor's office of the Pskov region.

An inspection with the participation of Rospotrebnadzor specialists revealed that both institutions violated the requirements of the law on the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.

"The actions of the food supplier, who delivered ready meals in closed containers on special transport, will be evaluated as part of the criminal investigation," the agency's website says.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules").
