According to data from June 20 to 27, Russia's international reserves increased by 0.1%, thus their volume amounted to $687.7 billion, updating the historical maximum. The Bank of Russia announced this on July 3.

Thus, at the end of the day on June 27, they increased by $500 million over the week, which was mainly influenced by a positive revaluation, according to the regulator's website.

By the end of the day on June 20, the Central Bank's international reserves amounted to $687.2 billion. Prior to that, the previous historical maximum was set on May 9 at $687.3 billion.

On June 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin joked at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Council in Belarus that Western countries' statements that they were going to appropriate Russian gold and foreign exchange assets were not even an attempt to steal them, but open intentions to carry out a robbery.
