Sobyanin announced the opening of the scientific and academic building of the Botkin Hospital

The scientific and academic building of the Botkin Hospital was opened in Moscow after reconstruction. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The building is equipped with modern equipment for educational and scientific events.

The building houses 72 classrooms for professors and teachers, and 10 conference rooms. There is also a coworking area. About 1.5 thousand students and residents can study in the building at the same time.

This building unites several dozen departments of medical universities, previously scattered throughout the hospital. There are not only conditions for teaching students and residents, but also for conducting scientific research. The building will house a training center and the scientific and clinical department of the Botkin Moscow State Medical Center.

Previously, the building housed surgical, nephrological, intensive care and thoracic surgery departments. They were transferred to the renovated building No. 11 and building No. 22.

With the opening of the scientific and academic building, the main work on the modernization of the Botkin Moscow International Scientific and Scientific Center is being completed, Sobyanin stressed.
