In Nakhodka (Primorsky Krai), a woman transferred more than 4 million rubles to fraudsters. The victim expected to receive income on the stock exchange.

According to a local resident, she met the young man on social media. He told the woman that he allegedly receives passive income through investments. The interlocutor told the victim how to install the app on her phone, and suggested starting with an investment of 20 thousand rubles. This is reported by IA PrimaMedia.

The conman persuaded a resident of Nakhodka to invest as large amounts as possible, ostensibly to increase income. The total amount of "investments" reached 4.26 million rubles. When the victim decided to withdraw the "earnings", she was informed about the suspension of payments.

The police have opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on an especially large scale").
