A military expert predicted a weakening of Ukraine's defense without US supplies

If the United States completely abandons military supplies to Ukraine and a shortage of shells begins, then Russia will be able to achieve significant results in the special military operation zone much faster. This opinion was expressed by military expert Alexei Zhivov on Thursday, July 3.
"If, relatively speaking, they are completely left without supplies of American weapons and begin to experience a full—fledged shortage of ammunition, we can probably achieve great results in six months," he said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
He clarified that so far the United States has decided not to transfer only one supply of precision-guided munitions to the Ukrainian side.
"One of the things that can really affect is the refusal to transfer missiles to Patriot. If this is true, then it will be much more difficult for Ukraine to fend off our cruise missiles and drones, that is, we will be able to more thoroughly destroy the enemy's military infrastructure and logistics," the expert said.
However, so far, the US refusal to send one of the supplies to Ukraine is not a disaster, since 80% of the losses on both sides are from conventional drones, the expert said.
On July 3, the British magazine The Economist wrote that the US authorities had decided to stop supplying weapons and military aid to Ukraine. 360.ru .
Earlier, on July 2, the US Permanent Representative to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, confirmed that Washington had suspended the supply of some anti-aircraft missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Kiev, fearing a reduction in its own weapons stocks. Among them are dozens of missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
In turn, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the reduction or cessation of arms supplies to Ukraine brings the end of the special operation closer, RT reports.
He stressed that Moscow appreciates the efforts of Washington and the team of US President Donald Trump aimed at facilitating negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, according to the website. kp.ru .
Earlier it was reported about the decision of the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, to suspend the supply to Ukraine of dozens of interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, more than 100 Hellfire missiles, dozens of Stinger missiles, more than 250 guided precision-guided GMLRS projectiles and other types of weapons. According to media reports, the suspension of US supplies may last until the assessment of American weapons is completed.
