The proposed ceasefire and hostage release agreement would require the radical Palestinian Hamas movement to provide mediators and Israel with information about the hostages' health. This was reported by The Times of Israel on July 3.

It is reported that the movement will have to transmit such information to those hostages who will not be released during the 60-day ceasefire between the countries. In return, Israel will be required to share information about the health of all Palestinian prisoners arrested after the October 2023 attack.

It is specified that during the truce period, the mediators represented by Qatar, Egypt and the United States will guarantee a "serious" negotiation process, which, in case of positive dynamics, will lead to the end of the conflict.

The day before, Hamas began consultations to discuss the proposals of the mediators on how to come to an agreement and end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. It was noted that the mediators are making efforts for the parties to the conflict to reach a framework agreement and begin serious negotiations.
