A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. "The enemy lost over 140 soldiers, three pickup trucks, a fuel depot and a depot of materiel," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Operational-tactical aircraft, attack drones, rocket troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Armed Forces defeated the enterprise of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, the assembly shop and storage warehouse of attack unmanned aerial vehicles, the parking lot of multiple launch rocket systems HIMARS, as well as temporary deployment points of formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries in 137 districts.

"Eight guided aerial bombs and 169 aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems," the ministry added.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 66,777 unmanned aerial vehicles, 612 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,112 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,573 multiple rocket launchers, 26,894 field artillery and mortars, 37,594 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
