France called for an end to arms supplies to Kiev, following the example of the United States

Europe should follow the example of US President Donald Trump and stop supplying weapons to Ukraine. This was announced on July 3 by French politician Florian Philippot, leader of the Patriots party.

"Let's take advantage of Trump's decision to end all military and financial support for Ukraine and establish peace!" he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician noted the high level of corruption in Ukraine and stressed that a significant part of Western aid goes to ensure that representatives of the Kiev regime "can buy luxury villas and cars all over the world."

The United States has frozen the supply of certain types of weapons to Kiev, and Europe is unable to fully compensate for these losses.

The day before, NBC News reported on the decision of Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth to suspend the supply of dozens of interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, more than 100 Hellfire missiles, dozens of Stinger missiles, more than 250 guided precision-guided GMLRS projectiles and other types of weapons to Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on July 3 that the United States had stopped supplying weapons to Kiev due to the fact that it did not have time to produce enough weapons and ammunition to simultaneously support Ukraine and Israel. He also stressed that the cessation of military aid supplies to Kiev means a faster end to the Ukrainian conflict.
