Since the beginning of the harvest campaign in 2025, Russia has already harvested 3.8 million tons of grain. This was announced on July 3 by Roman Nekrasov, Director of the Department of Crop Production, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that he presented such data, which is provided by TASS, at the All-Russian Field Day in the Volgograd region.

Nekrasov's presentation notes that during the same period last year, 16.5 million tons of grain were harvested, which is 4.3 times more. According to the ministry's forecast, grain harvest this year should reach 135 million tons against 130 in 2024.

On June 24, the head of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, announced that a harvesting company for winter crops had started in the region. More than 40 thousand agricultural machines, including 8 thousand combine harvesters, are involved in the harvest. By now, about 160 thousand tons of grain have been harvested. In total, grain growers will have to harvest more than 1.7 million hectares of winter crops.
