- A military expert said about the dialogue between the United States and Iran to prevent the creation of nuclear weapons
The United States is negotiating with Iran to prevent the development of nuclear weapons. This was stated on July 3 in an interview with Izvestia by a military expert, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin.
This is how he commented on the proposal of members of the House of Representatives of the US Congress to transfer American B-2 Spirit bombers and GBU-57 bunker bombs to Israel in case Iran tries to create nuclear weapons.
"Of course, the creation of nuclear weapons by Iran will have an impact. Israel will strengthen its combat readiness. But I think the United States is currently negotiating with Iran, trying to agree that Iran should not develop nuclear weapons," the source said.
When asked about the possible consequences for security in the region, Litovkin stressed that it is in a fragile state.
"Israel is pursuing an aggressive policy towards all its neighbors. He exposes himself to retaliatory blows from his neighbors and strikes at them. There is no security in the Middle East," the expert concluded.
Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth said on June 22 that the United States used seven B-2 Spirit bombers to attack Iran's nuclear facilities. He clarified that the strike included the longest mission of the B-2 Spirit bomber since 2001 and the first operational use of a correctable bunker buster bomb.
