By the middle of next week, the temperature in Moscow may exceed 30 degrees. This was announced on July 3 by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.

The expert stressed that for the first time in the summer, the thermometer will reach such a value, but such a temperature will not last long in the capital.

"If on Monday it will be plus 22 — plus 27 on the capital's thermometers, then on Tuesday the heat will increase and the maximum temperature will rise to plus 25 — plus 30, by Wednesday the thermometer columns will try to storm the 30-degree altitude," Tishkovets told RIA Novosti.

According to her, in the future, the temperature background will decrease by several degrees and will correspond to the climatic norm of this period.

On the same day, Alexey Kokorin, a climate expert at the Nature and People Foundation, explained the reasons for the low temperatures in early summer. According to him, this is due to the intrusion of cold air from the north. He clarified that the border between the Arctic and temperate latitudes has become more mobile, so "long Rossby waves" have gone along it, affecting the weather. Accordingly, due to their strengthening, the air "got" to Moscow.
