A criminal case has been opened in Irkutsk hospital after the attempted murder of two medical workers. This was reported on July 3 by the Investigative Committee (IC) for the region.

They clarified that in Irkutsk City Clinical Hospital No. 8, a man armed with a knife attacked medical staff and injured two women, the victims were hospitalized. The suspect was detained by police officers.

"On this fact, the investigative department for the Leninsky district of Irkutsk of the SU IC of Russia for the Irkutsk region has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons")," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is reported that the investigators are currently carrying out all necessary actions to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
