The military told about the active offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in the Sumy region

The Russian army is actively advancing on the Sumy region. On July 3, the military told Izvestia about the situation in the battle.

"They are [mercenaries. — Ed. They are going with one goal — to kill Russians. Military and civilian. The main goal is to kill a Russian man," said the platoon commander of the 56th Guards Airborne Assault regiment of the Sever group with the call sign Tosik.

The deputy platoon commander with the call sign Archie noted that the Ukrainian military, unlike the mercenaries, is already depressed. They are also less experienced and lack intelligence in combat.

Izvestia correspondent Igor Kaporikov added that, despite combat experience, training and coordination of units are very important during the performance of tasks in real combat.

Earlier, on June 30, the UN confirmed the torture of Russian servicemen by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It was clarified that the prisoners were subjected to beatings, dog attacks, mock executions, humiliation and other forms of ill-treatment.
