A criminal case was opened against a Tomsk resident after he threw a dummy grenade at a traffic police car due to disagreement with the administrative protocol. This was reported on July 3 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region.

"In order to prevent the lawful actions of the traffic police inspectors, the suspect threw a dummy F-1 grenade into the interior of the patrol car, which looked similar to its combat version," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is reported that the man was stopped by the traffic police crew. After that, he had a conflict with law enforcement officers due to disagreement with the administrative protocol drawn up due to Tomich's refusal to undergo a medical examination.

The Investigative Committee added that a criminal case has been opened against a Tomsk resident under Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Threat of violence, not dangerous to life or health, against a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties"). He faces up to five years in prison.

In the Kamchatka Territory on April 26, a man opened fire towards police officers, hiding from the chase after stealing a car. A criminal case has been opened under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers"). He was later taken into custody.
