In the United States, after an unsuccessful attempt to use military equipment in the special military operation zone (SVO), they plan to upgrade Abrams tanks using the Russian technology template. This was announced on July 3 by Rostec State Corporation.

According to the Pentagon's plans, the new armor system for these tanks should have a special coating that reduces thermal visibility, as well as elements of additional passive protection against attacks from heights, including threats from FPV drones.

"In fact, the new measures of the American Military Industrial Corps (MIC) repeat what Russian tank builders have been using for a long time," the Telegram channel said.

They pointed out that the special coating is an analogue of the Russian "cape", and the additional protection from the upper hemisphere resembles a set of screens, grilles and outrigger structures like a "barbecue", which is also one of the domestic developments.

In addition, Rostec noted that the United States had previously borrowed the concept of dynamic protection, which was criticized in the 80s and 90s, considering it "outdated" and arguing that combined armor was enough for tanks. However, as practice has shown, the Americans were wrong then.

High-Precision Complexes Holding (part of Rostec State Corporation) On July 2, he handed over a new batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It was clarified that among the innovations were noted side screens, grilles, upper hemisphere protection kits, a set of visibility reduction tools and other upgrades.
