A patient attacked the medical staff of a hospital in Irkutsk with a knife.

In Irkutsk, a hospital patient attacked medical workers with a knife and a gas canister. This was announced on July 3 by the governor of the region Igor Kobzev.

"This morning at the Irkutsk City Clinical Hospital No. 8 <...> the patient attacked medical workers with a knife and a gas canister," the message on his Telegram channel says.

He clarified that the deputy chief physician and the secretary of the institution were hospitalized in serious condition. Now doctors are fighting for their lives. Police officers detained the attacker. The investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the attempted murder of two or more people. The reasons for the incident are being investigated.

On May 12, the Main Directorate (GU) of the Rosgvardiya in Moscow reported that employees of the non-departmental security of the Moscow Rosgvardiya detained a 32-year-old resident of the Moscow region, who, intoxicated, punched a paramedic in the chest during medical care. It was clarified that the attacker was taken to the police department for further investigation.
